About Us

My name is Deborah Hart and I am the owner of "The Drapery Specialist." I have served the Greenbrier county area for the past twenty-five years and look forward to more.

In 1981, I was hired as a seamstress at John's Paint Store in Fairlea, WV. It was there I first met a very talented interior designer named Patti Ford. In 1982 I became part of a wonderful team of ladies called "Debra's House of Design" in Lewisburg, WV. For the next ten years, I grew in my own craft of unique pattern making by working with these very talented interior designers. Through this experience, I learned that every beautiful window treatment starts with the creative eye of an interior designer. Thank you, Debra McClung, for that great opportunity to work with such wonderful professionals!

In 1995 I went to work as a seamstress in the upholstery shop at the world famous Greenbrier Hotel and Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV. For the next twelve years, I learned upholstery and added to my drapery-making skills. However, I really missed working with the public and the creativity of a fine interior designer.

In 2007 I made the choice to open my own workshop to the design world and to the public.

Now in 2008, The Drapery Specialist is open and fully operational with a complete workshop and our own "in house" interior designer, Patti Ford. We offer the finest in design consultation, drapery making, and upholstery services. We offer blinds, roller shades, and Adjust-a-view arch window shades. We offer specialty custom furniture. We also provide complete installations by qualified professionals.

We have a full line of the latest and finest drapery fabrics on the market. We can make any and every window treatment that can be imagined. If you can dream it, we can make it. We have window treatments installed in more homes in the Greenbrier valley than we can count. We also provide these services to all commercial clients. We also can give excellent references from outstanding community leaders in this field. When the job is done, we will have one more "Happy Customer"! We specialize in repeat customers.
