Designers

I am Patti Ford, and I have been an interior designer for twenty-seven years. In 1981 I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.

During my studies, I worked part-time for Thompson's of Morgantown in their contract design department, where I designed commercial office spaces and systems.

Following graduation, my husband Rich and I moved here to Lewisburg and the beautiful Greenbrier Valley. Rich practices law with his father in the Ford Law Firm.

Shortly thereafter, the local paint store asked me to develop a design department for their business, as they already carried paint and wallpaper lines for their customers. This was a very involved project. With help from my college professors and much trial and error, the local paint store became John's Paint and Interiors.

In 1982 I had the wonderful opportunity to join the locally prestigious design firm of Debra's House of Design. I spent almost ten years there working with other talented designers and professionals on numerous projects, from residential to commercial to contract.

After taking time off from full time work to be with my children, I continued to do part-time design consulting. In 2003 I became a licensed realtor with Country Road Realty. I love that interior and real estate compliment each other so nicely.

When Deborah began The Drapery Specialist and we began working regularly on projects once again, we realized just how much we had missed our creativity and design projects together. Deborah is a master at bringing my creative imaginings to life. We look forward to together bringing your designs to life!
